Garbage disposal trouble in Marietta?
Humming, leaking or refusing to run? Stop operating the disposal, keep your hands out of the unit and request a local repair or replacement assessment below.
Request a disposal assessment
Share your ZIP and urgency. In the issue field, tell us whether the disposal hums, leaks or stays silent, and whether water is standing in the sink. Request repair, replacement or help deciding.
Provider availability, diagnosis, pricing and appointment timing require confirmation.
We connect your request with independent local plumbing providers.
What is the disposal doing?
Describe what you already noticed—there is no need to run the unit again to test it.
Humming without grinding
Note whether you heard humming while food remained in the sink. Leave the unit off rather than trying to force it to run.
Leaking beneath the sink
Describe where you can see water from a safe position. Avoid wet electrical connections and do not reach beneath a leaking unit to investigate.
Stalled or completely silent
Mention whether the disposal stopped during use or did not start at all. Keep hands and tools out of the opening; the cause needs assessment.
Standing water in the sink?
A sink that will not drain does not, by itself, establish that the disposal needs replacing. Tell the provider whether water backs up on one side of the sink, both sides or in other fixtures.
Stop adding water to a backed-up sink and leave the disposal off. Do not mix drain chemicals; mention any products already used when requesting help.
If slow drainage or standing water is the main problem, use the clogged-drain help path. If the disposal is also humming, leaking or stalled, include both symptoms in your assessment request.
Unsure whether to repair or replace?
Request a local assessment, then discuss the cause, repair and replacement options, and a written estimate with the provider before approving work.
