Independent Marietta plumbing resource
Questions before hiring a plumber
Start with what you can observe—not a guessed diagnosis—then ask who will assess it, what you are agreeing to and how to verify their claims. Use these questions when contacting a provider; Marietta Plumbing does not perform plumbing work or endorse an unverified business.
Ask for details you can check
A claim on a website is a starting point, not verification. Request identifying details and check them independently before relying on them.
Confirm the business identity
“What legal business name will appear on my estimate, invoice and payment receipt?” Ask the provider to explain any different names before you pay or sign.
Check claimed qualifications
“Which licenses or credentials apply to this work, and whose name are they under?” Check claimed licenses through the issuing authority’s official records, matching the name, number, status and scope; confirm applicable requirements with the relevant authority.
Verify current insurance
“Can you provide current insurance documentation and an agent or insurer contact for verification?” Confirm the insured name, dates and coverage relevant to the proposed work; a certificate alone does not establish that every potential loss is covered.
Know who will do the work
Who will arrive? Ask: “Will your employees or a subcontractor assess the problem and perform the work? How will I identify the person attending?” Clarify whether the business giving the estimate is also the business responsible for the work.
Who can approve decisions? Ask: “Who supervises the work, and who should I contact about a concern?” If you are a tenant or coordinating remotely, explain your role and ask what owner authorization and access arrangements are needed before the visit.
Who handles follow-up? Ask: “If the symptom returns or the completed work needs attention, which business handles that request?” Get the responsible contact and any written workmanship or manufacturer warranty terms, including exclusions.
Get the agreement in writing
Use these questions before authorizing a visit or repair. If an answer changes the scope or cost, ask for the written terms to reflect it.
Check the inquiry status first
Marietta Plumbing is an independent resource that performs no plumbing work and guarantees no response; provider referrals are currently unavailable, and sharing will remain inactive until actual recipients are identified and you give explicit consent—see how inquiries work and privacy and inquiry data.
